Fadi Haddad, MD

About Dr. Haddad

Dr. Haddad is a physician-scientist and Assistant Professor in the Department of Leukemia at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, where he specializes in the clinical management and research of hematologic cancers.

Dr. Haddad earned his medical degree from Saint Joseph University in Beirut, Lebanon. He completed his internal medicine training, followed by a hematology and oncology fellowship at Hôtel-Dieu de France University Hospital. To deepen his expertise in blood cancers, he pursued advanced subspecialty training through a dedicated leukemia fellowship at MD Anderson.

His clinical and translational research is centered on improving outcomes for patients with chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) and acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), with a focus on resistance mechanisms, treatment discontinuation strategies, and novel targeted therapies. Dr. Haddad actively contributes to the design and execution of early- and late-phase clinical trials and has authored peer-reviewed publications on CML, ALL, and acute myeloid leukemia.

Recognized for his contributions to the field, Dr. Haddad frequently presents at national and international oncology forums. He is an engaged member of professional organizations including the American Society of Hematology, American Society of Clinical Oncology, European Hematology Association, and the Society of Hematologic Oncology.
